We are overjoyed to invite you on this deep exploration into new possibilities for learning, playing, creating and exploring on a beautifully unique collection of 8 D-Celtic handpans, one for each participant!
Through this class, enjoy a transformative group music making experience. A variety of group and individual activities awaken our own unique self-expression. We will explore how to play music from a space of freedom as well as discover how to collaborate in a meaningful and positive way. Prepare for an easy, informative and uplifting workshop experience!
Sliding Scale: We offer a sliding scale of $25- $55 for this event. If you prefer to pay less than $35, know that it is registered as a scholarship and our benefactor tickets balance out the price difference and visa versa. Scholarship are available in-person or my emailing info@thesoundartist.com or calling 631-365-4184. No one will be turned away due to financial constraints.
Donations: Contributions beyond the standard price are appreciated to support the accessibility of this event.

Through hosting workshops, ensembles, retreats and public gatherings, the Sound Artist brings people together from all walks of life to experience, play, collaborate and learn from inspiring players and teachers.

Meet the facilitator Prana Rising:
A sound artist, discovering the music in everything, Prana Rising holds the central belief that music has the power to transform the world and that all people are born with the gift to express themselves through music.
Prana is a New York State certified music educator with diverse experience spanning from early childhood music, advanced instrumental music teaching, sound facilitation training and creative music workshops. Prana offers handpan, percussion, piano, guitar, bass, voice and drum lesson at their music school Sound Artist virtually and in-person in Centerport, NY. Sound Artist’s Centerport location is a Handpan Store with over 8 models of Handpans choose from. Sound Artist additionally offers music production services.
Prana is a Long Island based performer, composer and music educator. As a student, Max received his BM in both Percussion Performance and Music Education from the Eastman School of Music in 2015 and has had the humble privilege of studying with master percussionists Bernard Woma, Adam Maalouf, Michael Burritt, Glenn Kotche and Bill Cahn. As a percussionist & drummer, Max performs regularly at theaters and music venues across NYC, Brooklyn and Queens. In his solo project Prana Rising, Max strives to express his musical voice by combining classical and contemporary sounds, world music textures, and pop music influences, into his own unique multi-instrumental style.
